Limitation of LiabilityTO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SLATE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE USE OF OUR SERVICES, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY AND WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO SLATE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

12. IndemnificationYou agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Slate and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:

• Your violation of these Terms

13. Termination13.1 Termination by YouYou may terminate your account and stop using our Services at any time by contacting our support team.
